No Beta For Operation Raccoon City After All

Were you hoping to play the game before it released? Don’t lose hope!

Joystiq reported not very long ago that Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will be getting a beta early next year. This got a lot of Resident Evil fans excited, no doubt – but Capcom has just announced that this was a misunderstanding and there will be no demo or beta version of the game releasing to the general public. Bummer.

But the note does say that there will be ‘plenty of opportunities for fans to play the game before it releases’, through first to play community events and such and such. And why not develop some patience and actually wait for the game to finally come out on March 20th in North America and March 23rd in Europe? It’s not like zombies are going to attack you if don’t play the game before release.

No, actually they are. They so totally are.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will be releasing for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on the above-mentioned dates, while the PC release dates have yet to be announced. Happy zombie-ing!
