Footloose Soundtrack Review

Will this make your feet dance? Yeah it just might.

Footloose takes place in the south so it makes sense that the soundtrack focuses on more country music. This is actually one of the things that the original Footloose movie soundtrack lacked.

Some of the songs have been pulled from the original soundtrack but have been remixed with new singers or instruments such as Footloose, Holding Out For A Hero, and Let’s Hear It For A Boy. Even though there were moments that used the original songs in the new Footloose film, you only get new versions in this new soundtrack.

It’s nice that they went out and included new songs within this soundtrack because if you want the old songs you can buy the soundtrack from the original movie and they are included in that soundtrack.

The songs appear to be ordered in the way that they were used in the movie, which when you think of Footloose you think of dancing and having fun. Due to the film’s story which uses some more downbeat songs at the first act, you might find yourself skipping a couple of those tracks to get to more of the upbeat songs that were used later in the film. Again it’s the Footloose soundtrack, you want to cut loose. πŸ˜‰
