Disneynature’s Oceans – Blu-ray Review

The Earth, like human beings, is composed primarily of water. Streams, rivers, lakes, seas, and oceans are all over the planet, and they are the source of life, food, hydration, and even shelter for creatures big and small. Disneynature takes us on a fascinating journey into our world’s largest bodies of water with Oceans.

Narrated by Pierce Brosnan (he was once James Bond), Oceans delves into the complexities and intricacies of living in and around the five massive bodies of water that cover out planet. Creatures both big and small are profiled; their lives as groups, parents, predators, and prey are explored and shot with stunning beauty. It’s an amazing film to watch.

If you enjoyed Life, you’ll enjoy Oceans. It’s an amazing look at how these mammals, fish, and other sea creatures work together to create a sustainable living ecosystem that enables them to flourish and grow. Even under extreme conditions, many creatures can survive and become stronger than many would think possible.

Whether you like fish, whales, dolphins, sharks, seals, or other creatures that populate our oceans, the film has something for everyone. Not only will you learn about these awesome animals, but you may laugh a little too. And perhaps even cry.

One of the main messages of the film is the importance of conserving and protecting our oceans. I think we all can agree that conserving and protecting our oceans is important to all of us.

The Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack includes the following special features: Filmmaker Annotations; “Make a Wave” – Disney’s Friends for Change Music Video with Joe Jonas & Demi Lovato; Disney & Nature: Preserving the World We Share; Deeper in the Ocean – Select Bonus Videos.

For a fun, fascinating, and family-friendly good time, I recommend Disneynature’s Oceans. It’s definitely worth watching.
