Team Umizoomi – Season Two Premiere Review

Umi-Friends unite! Join Milli, Geo, and Bot for another exciting season filled with awesome math adventures in and around Umi City. The second season of the fun series gets off to a fun start with “Chicks in the City” as our terrific trio of math heroes goes searching for six chicks that have escaped from a nearby school. Will they find them all?

Filled with lessons about counting, shapes, patterns, and colors, Team Umizoomi is a fun and educational series that pre-schoolers will love. My three-year-old niece loves the series and was glued to the screen throughout the episode.

Like Dora and Diego, Team Umizoomi presents an interactive environment where the characters ask the child viewer questions and leave time for them to answer. This positive reinforcement enables children to become a participant in the learning process instead of just a casual viewer.

I really like this series. Math hasn’t been this fun and entertaining on TV since Square One on PBS decades ago. The storylines are great, the characters are fun, and the lessons are simple but important when it comes to basic math concepts or even life lessons.

For a solid, interactive, educational, and positive series, I highly recommend Team Umizoomi!
