Way back when, a report was made that Gears of War was getting the silver screen treatment. Then the LA Times reported the movie was pretty much stuck where it was with little hope of proceeding. Now a ray of hope has landed upon the project with Cliffy B’s announcement at Comic Con regarding its development.
Epic and the fellows in Hollywood have decided to restart the adaptation with hopes of decreasing the budget size this time around from the rather large $100 million that sat on its head. Apparently this is what was scaring studios away and preventing anything from getting off the ground. Both Epic and Cliffy B have supported the re-working of things to hopefully get this movie made.
