First Heavy Rain, now this. I guess professional adventure game developers just hate the PC now. 🙁
Microsoft has confirmed that Alan Wake will not be releasing for the PC, making it an Xbox 360 exclusive title. The decision was made to suit the game, however. Explaining the decision, Microsoft said, “Some games are more suited for the intimacy of the PC, and others are best played from the couch in front of a larger TV screen,” – because, you know, PCs can’t be hooked up to televisions whatsoever, right?
The game is quite cinematic, like Heavy Rain, so it is going to be suited for a more couch-sitting, chip-munching crowd. So yeah, PC Gamers who waited for this game like they waited for Duke Nukem Forever – here’s your middle finger. Go get an Xbox 260 to feed the Microsoft beast.
Maybe they’ll port it to the PC if you’re all good fans though. After you’ve bought an Xbox 360 just for this game.
