We Cheer 2 – Wii Review

We Cheer 2

We Cheer 2 is the most entertaining game that I’ve played on the Wii in months.

At first glance, We Cheer 2 seems like it’s a cheap game trying to capitalize on the vast female Wii gamer market. While that still holds true to some extent, once you start playing this game you’ll question why you didn’t become a cheerleader in high school.

The controls a very simple, wave around the Wii mote in the direction of the on-screen arrows. The Wii-mote represents your pom poms. You can actually use two Wii-motes at the same time if you want more of a challenge. The game allows up to four people to play at once. You can perform in thirty songs that will get you pumped up and excited.

You’ll have the most fun with this game if you really get into it. Trying to mimick the cheerleader’s entire dance while also moving your Wii-motes on time brings forth a hilarious thrill.

After that there are tons of other features that I don’t really care about, but others might be interested in. Squad Look allows you to customize the look of your squad with outfit styles and colors. You can give your squad members a makeover with different hair and eyes. The Cheer Shop allows you to buy outfits and accessories for your squad with the points that you gained during your competitions. You can design the logo of your cheer squad. There’s a Photo Album that you can cycle through screenshots that you took during the competitions. There’s also a Training mode that allows you to count the calories as you play through the song’s routine.

As you can see there are a lot of extra features built specifically for We Cheer 2’s intended audience. This is a fantastic rhythm game that makes you look like a fool as you wave your arms in the air.
