Spore: The Movie, how do you make a movie about life?

I know that Electronic Arts was really trying to push Spore into a multi-franchise property, but I didn’t know it was popular enough to make a worthy film out of.

What seems like a stretch might soon be reality. Chris Wedge director of Ice Age and Robots is set to direct while Greg Erb and Jason Oremland are writing the screenplay. Leave it to FOX to make a movie about this game. I’m still waiting to see how the movie based on The Sims turns out.

I’m not 100% sure what this film would be about. Would it take the A Bug’s Life route of a creature leaving his home and exploring the galaxy only to return later or would it be more like Osmosis Jones and deal with cells as they evolve or something. It’s baffling to think that Spore is going to become a movie, but still it could be fun to watch.
