A-Team movie cast expands

A-team
I’m not sure I care for this entire concept of bring back the A-Team for a movie, but the cast makes me think otherwise. With Liam Neeson previously announced as John ‘Hannibal’ Smith, and Bradley Cooper as Templeton ‘Faceman’ Peck. The one thing I think everyone was wondering was who would take over Mr. T’s role?

Well it would seem the MMA has once again interjected it’s fighters as actors. Quinton Ramone Jackson, also known as Rampage Jackson, will be taking T’s position as B.A. Baracus in the movie. His name is certainly flamboyant enough for the role, and he looks the part.

As for the last member of the A-Team, ‘Howling Mad’ Murdock? One word and one number. District 9. Sharlto Copley, star of District 9 as Wikus Van De Merwe, has reportedly been offered the role of Howling Mad Murdock. The looks are definitely there, but I would think the major issue is with Sharlto’s accent.

He was born in South Africa and his accent is fairly thick. He’s a great actor, but I’m worried if he’d be able to pull off an accent that sounded American or not. However this has yet to be confirmed, so this worry might be a moot point, and Shalrto could very well pull off a very convincing accent if he does get cast.

  1. He can do an American accent just fine, and in fact, played an American Green Beret drill sargeant in a short film which no doubt the studio heads have all seen already.
