We have become a people addicted to entertainment. Whether it’s TV, movies, or the web, we seek stimulation out on a daily basis. ISeeYou.com is a clever satire of our need for instant gratification, and the toll it can pay on those involved.
After spending five years in prison, Harvey Bellinger (Beau Bridges, who steals each scene he’s in) goes before the parole board to tell his story. And what a story it is!
You see, he married his favorite Playboy centerfold Lydia Ann Layton (Rosanna Arquette). The two of them, along with his daughter, and her son, moved into a huge mansion together. Life was joyous, perfect, full of sex.
Soon, Lydia’s ne’er-do-well son, Colby (Matthew Botuchis) decides to have a little fun with his step-sister and a web cam. Thing is, she has no clue the camera’s in her room. When the sites popularity starts to grow, Colby places cameras all over the mansion. A a reality web show is born, and hilarity ensues!
With everyone by Colby an unwitting participant in the web cam chaos, it’s only a matter of time before the “reality” of the situation comes to light.
Watch for cameos from a variety of people including: Mary Hart (Entertainment Tonight); Doris Roberts (Everybody Loves Raymond); the late Don LaFontaine (the voice on most movie trailers); Dan Castellaneta (The Simpsons); and Garry Marshall (creator of Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, and director of dozens of films).
Special features include a making-of featurette, deleted scenes, and the theatrical trailer (really? This was in theaters??)
ISeeYou.com is a fun and fast-paced comedy. If you’re a techie and also like seeing female flesh, I recommend this film.
I download an A for this film. Gotta love those cameos and Beau Bridges!
I’ve never heard of this one. It could be a funny comedy but then again if it’s shameless exploitation the makers should know better by now. Since American Pie made it big there have been a huge number of sequels and the basic idea behind this sounds like taking the main scene in Pie and basing a movie around it.
I saw the movie and enjoyed it. But it definitely crosses the line between porn and a comedy.
